The Emergence of an Environmental Citizenship – Alliance Française de Manchester

A panel of local climate-change professionals, experts and activists will each give a 10 to 15-minute presentation on their ideas, expertise, experience and initiatives, which cover a diverse range of areas of activity. This will be followed by an open debate and discussion to stimulate exchange between the panel members and the public and benefit from the contributions of attendees.

Petite Nuit des Idées – Alliance Française de Glasgow

Based on the game Once Upon a Time, the workshop invites children between 12 and 16 years-old to engage in short debates on the theme of the Night of Ideas, Facing Our Time. Allowing everyone to share their views on today and tomorrow’s challenges in a fun and educative way.
This workshop will take place simultaneously at the Alliance Française in Dublin!

The Night of Ideas - Institut français d’Ecosse

Paying particular attention to the "Our" in the theme of this year's Nuit des idées, "Facing Our Time", the Institut français d'Ecosse's programme is not just about present-day problems. Rather, with an accent on resistance and inequality, they invite the public to consider how subjectivity defines whose times are our times with a programme of talks, film screenings, and an art exhibition.
